How to Order Prescriptions
Description
Amoxicillin Liquid is a prescription broad-spectrum antibiotic used by veterinarians to treat certain bacterial infections in dogs and cats.
Amoxicillin belongs to the penicillin class of antibiotics and has bactericidal activity against many susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It may be prescribed for bacterial infections involving the skin, soft tissues, respiratory tract, urinary tract, and other areas when the infecting bacteria are susceptible to amoxicillin.
The liquid formulation provides an alternative for pets that may be difficult to medicate with tablets or capsules and allows the prescribed dose to be carefully measured.
Complete the entire prescribed course of treatment unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian, even if your pet appears to be feeling better.
Uses & Benefits

How It Works
Amoxicillin is a beta-lactam, penicillin-class antibiotic.
It works by interfering with the formation of bacterial cell walls. Susceptible bacteria require properly formed cell walls for survival. By disrupting cell wall synthesis, amoxicillin causes susceptible bacteria to weaken and die.
Amoxicillin is effective against susceptible bacterial infections. It does not treat viral, fungal, or parasitic infections.
Indications
For use in dogs and cats as prescribed by a licensed veterinarian.
Amoxicillin may be prescribed for infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including certain infections involving the:
