SHIPPING POLICY

When ordering prescription items, if the prescription form is not completed in its entirety, your order will be delayed.
PRESCRIPTION PROCESSING
  • Please allow up to 3 days for new prescription verification and processing. If you have a prescription on file, we will do our best to ship it the next business day.
  • Please allow 1-2 days for vet approvals on orders that include prescription items.
  • Please allow for an additional 24-48 hours to process prescription orders

Ground orders generally take 3-5 business days when they leave our facility..

All shipping charges are based on total dollar amount. NO FOB CHARGES apply, unless the order is shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Virgin Islands.

Heartland Vet Supply is not responsible for delays in shipping due to inclement weather. Your shipping charge will not be refunded if delivery is delayed due to weather. 

ALL ORDERS SHIPPING TO ALASKA, HAWAII, or VIRGIN ISLANDS WILL BE CHARGED A MINIMUM OF $8.95 ON ORDERS UNDER 2 LBS.

Free shipping on non-vaccine orders of $75 or more (before tax). Orders that qualify for free shipping will be shipped ground, or best way. Valid for contiguous USA orders only (AK, HI, and VI not included). 

ORDERS OVER 2 LBS WILL BE CHARGED ACTUAL FREIGHT and DO NOT qualify for free shipping. Actual shipping rate will be added to your order and you will be notified of the difference. 


Please note that any order valued at over $400.00 requires a signature upon delivery.
You will need to have your order sent to an address where somebody will be able to sign for it. 

Fed Ex requires that any insured package over this amount must be signed for, NO EXCEPTIONS.  If a package is delayed due to not having somebody available to sign for it, Heartland Veterinary Supply will not be held responsible for the delay and/or possible loss and/or replacement of use on refrigerated items.

VACCINE POLICY

To insure the integrity of the product, all vaccines are shipped Overnight Delivery Only in a cooling package on Mondays-Thursdays only. A $29.95 fee will be added to all vaccine orders if Overnight Delivery is not selected.

RETURNS, REFUNDS & EXCHANGES:

Upon receipt of your order, if you are not completely satisfied, please contact us within 30 days. A return authorization number will be assigned, providing the product or products to be returned are in resalable condition. A restocking fee of up to 20% may be applied to returned, refunded, or exchanged items.

  • According to federal laws, once a prescription order has been filled, it is non-returnable. Due to general health considerations and FDA regulations, we regret that there can be no returns on prescription products.
  • Vaccines and special order items are non-returnable.

Product returned without a return authorization number or past the 30 day deadline will not be accepted for a refund or exchange. 


Missing or damaged items should be reported within 72 hours of receiving the package. 
  • Returns must be in new condition in original manufacturer's packaging including all product information. Health Codes will not allow any employee to handle soiled items.
  • Any items returned that do not meet these specifications will be discarded at no credit.
