Altren® (altrenogest) Oral Solution is a prescription synthetic progestin indicated for the suppression of estrus (heat) in mares. As a cost-effective generic alternative to Regu-Mate®, Altren contains the same active ingredient and concentration to help veterinarians and horse owners effectively manage reproductive cycles.
Suppressing estrus allows for a more predictable return to heat following treatment, making it easier to schedule breeding, manage prolonged estrus, and support mares transitioning into the breeding season. The ready-to-use oral solution is supplied in a 1,000 mL bottle with a dispensing cap for convenient, accurate daily dosing.

Administer 1 mL per 110 lb (0.044 mg/kg) of body weight orally once daily for 15 consecutive days.
