For Use in Dogs
Meloxicam Injection is indicated for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. The recommended starting dose is 0.09 mg/lb (0.2 mg/kg) of body weight, administered either intravenously (IV) or subcutaneously (SQ). After 24 hours, ongoing management can continue with meloxicam oral suspension at a daily dose of 0.045 mg/lb (0.1 mg/kg) of body weight.
For Use in Cats
In cats, Meloxicam Injection is used to control postoperative pain and inflammation following orthopedic surgery, spaying (ovariohysterectomy), or neutering (castration), when administered prior to surgery. A one-time subcutaneous (SQ) dose of 0.14 mg/lb (0.3 mg/kg) is recommended. For precise dosing, the use of a 1 mL graduated syringe is advised.

Storage
Store at controlled room temperature between 68°F and 77°F (20°C to 25°C). Short-term fluctuations between 59°F and 86°F (15°C to 30°C) are acceptable, in accordance with USP guidelines.
Once punctured, use the contents within 6 months.
