Decoquinate/Levamisole Compounded Oral Paste is a prescription compounded medication prepared for horses. The combination may be prescribed by a veterinarian as part of an individualized treatment plan for equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM).
Decoquinate provides antiprotozoal activity, while levamisole is an antiparasitic agent with immunomodulatory properties. The compounded oral paste provides both active ingredients in a palatable formulation designed for convenient administration to horses.
This compounded medication is prepared pursuant to a patient-specific veterinary prescription and is not an FDA-approved commercial drug product.
