How It Works

The sterile 28-gauge lancet is inserted into the AlphaTrak® 3 Lancing Device to obtain a small blood sample for glucose testing. Each lancet is intended for one-time use, helping provide accurate blood glucose readings while maintaining cleanliness and reducing the risk of contamination.

Materials

Sterile Stainless Steel Lancet
Protective Plastic Housing

Directions

Wash and dry your hands before handling the lancet.
Insert a new sterile lancet into the AlphaTrak® 3 Lancing Device according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Remove the protective cap.
Obtain the blood sample following your veterinarian's recommendations and the AlphaTrak® 3 User Guide.
Safely discard the used lancet after a single use in an appropriate sharps container.

Always use a new sterile lancet for each blood glucose test.

Cautions

• Single-use only. Do not reuse lancets.

• Do not use if the protective cap is damaged or missing.

Possible Side Effects

When used properly, side effects are uncommon. Some pets may experience:

Storage

Immediately after use, place the lancet in an appropriate puncture resistant sharps disposal container. Lancets are single use only and should not be reused. Follow applicable local requirements for disposal of used sharps and biohazardous materials. Keep used lancets and sharps containers inaccessible to children and animals.
