Finasteride Tablets

Description

Finasteride (Proscar or Propecia) is a medication used in dogs to restore infertility issues caused by benign prostatic hypertrophy (an enlargement of the prostate gland caused by hormones) and treat the general clinical signs associated with it.

Finasteride is a hormone antagonist which stops testosterone from being converted to dihydrotestosterone, the hormone that stimulates prostate growth. Overdoses can be very dangerous. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian.

If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to the regular schedule. Do not give two doses at once.

This medication should only be given to the pet for whom it was prescribed.
