How to Order Prescriptions

Description

Anipryl® is the only FDA-approved medication specifically designed to manage the clinical signs of Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS), often likened to dementia in aging dogs. It is also indicated for the control of clinical signs associated with uncomplicated canine pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH), commonly known as Cushing’s disease.

Key Benefits

  • Supports Cognitive Health: Anipryl® enhances dopamine levels in the brain, which may improve behavior, alertness, and overall quality of life in aging dogs exhibiting signs of CDS, such as disorientation, altered sleep patterns, and decreased social interaction.
  • Manages Cushing’s Disease: Effective in controlling clinical signs associated with uncomplicated PDH, including increased thirst and urination, panting, and changes in appetite.
  • Convenient Administration: Available in multiple strengths (2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, and 30 mg) to accommodate various dosing requirements. The tablets can be administered with or without food, preferably in the morning.

Important Safety Information

  • Anipryl® should not be used in dogs with known hypersensitivity to selegiline.
  • Avoid concurrent use with certain medications, including meperidine and other monoamine oxidase inhibitors, due to the risk of serious adverse reactions.
  • Common side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, or lethargy. Always consult your veterinarian before starting or adjusting treatment.
