Description

AluSpray® Aerosol Bandage is a convenient aluminum aerosol spray that creates a breathable, water-resistant protective coating over superficial wounds in both small and large animals. The aluminum powder forms a light metallic barrier that helps shield minor cuts, scrapes, abrasions, and surgical sites from dirt, insects, and other environmental contaminants while allowing oxygen to reach the wound to support natural healing.

Ideal for use after dehorning, castration, tail docking, or on minor wounds and summer sores, AluSpray® eliminates the need for traditional bandages in many situations. It can also be applied over topical ointments or salves when additional wound protection is desired.

How It Works

AluSpray® deposits a thin layer of aluminum powder over the wound, creating a breathable metallic barrier that protects the area from external contamination while allowing oxygen to reach the tissue. This protective coating helps support the body's natural healing process without sealing the wound completely.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients:

Aluminum Powder 40 mg/g (4%)

Inactive Ingredients:

Paraffin
Butane (propellant)

Directions

• Shake well before each use.
• Clean the wound area before application.
• Spray a thin, even layer over the area to be protected.
• Reapply as needed, typically every 1 to 3 days, or as directed by your veterinarian.
• May be applied over topical ointments or salves if desired.

Apply a thin coating to the affected area as needed. Reapplication frequency depends on the condition being treated and your veterinarian's recommendations.

• Avoid spraying into the animal's eyes.
• Extremely flammable; keep away from heat, sparks, flames, and other ignition sources.
• Contents under pressure. Do not puncture or incinerate the container.
• Do not store above 122°F (50°C).
• This product may stain skin, hair, tack, clothing, and other surfaces.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Possible Side Effects

Side effects are uncommon when used as directed. If skin irritation, excessive redness, swelling, or delayed healing develops, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.

Precautions

Use only on superficial wounds.
Seek veterinary care for deep punctures, severe lacerations, infected wounds, or wounds requiring sutures.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
Wash hands after use.
Avoid inhaling spray mist.

Storage

Store below 122°F (50°C). Protect from direct sunlight. Do not expose to excessive heat or open flames. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. Store in a dry location. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
