Description

Animalintex Poultice Pad is an all-purpose veterinary poultice dressing designed for use on horses and dogs. It combines an absorbent cotton wool dressing with boric acid and tragacanth to provide a convenient alternative to traditional poultice preparations.

The versatile dressing can be applied as a hot wet poultice, cold wet poultice, or dry dressing depending on the condition being managed. It absorbs exudate, helps maintain a moist, clean healing environment, cushions sore areas, and provides protection from external contamination through its waterproof backing.

The pad can be cut to fit the area being treated, making it useful for wounds, abscesses, swelling, sprains, strains, bruising, and other areas requiring poulticing or protective dressing.

For use in horses and dogs. Not recommended for cats.

How It Works

Animalintex combines an absorbent cotton wool dressing with boric acid and tragacanth.

Boric acid provides mild antiseptic properties, while tragacanth acts as a natural poulticing agent. The absorbent dressing helps draw in and retain wound exudate while providing cushioning and close contact with the affected area.

The waterproof backing helps retain moisture and warmth during wet poulticing while providing a barrier against external contamination. When used dry, the dressing provides absorbency, cushioning, and wound protection.
