Azodyl Capsules

Azodyl® is a veterinary nutritional supplement formulated to support normal kidney function and kidney detoxification in dogs and cats. Its proprietary Kibow Biotics® formula contains three specifically selected strains of beneficial bacteria—Streptococcus thermophilus KB19, Lactobacillus acidophilus KB27, and Bifidobacterium longum KB31—along with psyllium husk.

These beneficial bacteria are selected for their ability to thrive in a uremic environment and help manage uremic toxins within the gastrointestinal tract. Azodyl® uses an acid-resistant capsule designed to protect the beneficial bacteria as they pass through the stomach so they can reach the large intestine.

Designed for ongoing nutritional renal support, Azodyl® can be administered throughout the life of the animal when recommended by a veterinarian.

How It Works

Azodyl® uses a proprietary combination of beneficial bacteria designed to support kidney health through the gastrointestinal tract.

The formula contains S. thermophilus KB19, L. acidophilus KB27, and B. longum KB31. These bacteria are selected to thrive in a uremic environment and help manage uremic toxins that enter the bowel.

The acid-resistant capsule helps protect the live bacteria from stomach acid until they reach the large intestine, where they can perform their intended nutritional function. This approach provides additional support for normal kidney detoxification and renal function.

The formula provides not less than 15 billion CFU of live bacteria per capsule.

Inactive Ingredients:

Gellan Gum / Hypromellose / Magnesium Stearate / Psyllium Husk / Titanium Dioxide
Additional capsule materials and excipients are used to maintain product stability and protect the live bacterial cultures.

Directions

Administer orally according to your pet's body weight.

Capsules should be administered whole. Do not open or crush the capsules.

Give on an empty stomach for optimal administration. If necessary, the capsule may be given with a small piece of the pet's favorite food or treat to assist administration.

Always provide free access to fresh, clean drinking water.

Azodyl® may be administered throughout the life of the animal when recommended by your veterinarian.

For Pets 5–10 lbs, Give:
1 capsule in the morning
1 capsule in the evening

For Pets Over 10 lbs, Give:
2 capsules in the morning
1 capsule in the evening

Possible Side Effects

Azodyl® is generally well tolerated when administered according to label directions.

As with any nutritional supplement containing beneficial bacteria or fiber, individual pets may experience gastrointestinal changes when beginning supplementation.

If your pet develops persistent vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, appetite changes, or another unexpected reaction, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian.

Precautions

Azodyl® is intended to support normal renal function and should not replace veterinarian-prescribed treatment, diet, medications, or fluid therapy when these are needed.
Follow your veterinarian's recommendations for monitoring kidney function.
Give capsules whole to preserve the acid-resistant delivery system.
Do not crush, chew, or open capsules.
Maintain free access to fresh drinking water.
Consult your veterinarian before combining Azodyl® with other renal supplements if your pet is receiving a comprehensive kidney-support program.

Storage

Refrigeration Required.
Store refrigerated at 36°F–46°F (2°C–8°C). Keep refrigerated to maintain the viability and integrity of the live beneficial bacteria. Do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Protect from excessive heat.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Disposal

Dispose of expired or unwanted capsules and empty packaging according to local household waste requirements unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian or product labeling.

Because Azodyl® contains live beneficial bacteria and requires refrigeration, temperature-controlled shipping is recommended to help maintain product integrity during transit.

Upon delivery, place Azodyl® in the refrigerator promptly and keep refrigerated until use.
