Myristol has made a huge difference in my dog's life. I adopted her nearly 5 years ago when she was between 8-10. Since I typically only adopt "seniors" I wish I'd known about it sooner. Lucy can't take many drugs, including Rimadyl, but Myristol has no side effects. I do caution that I didn't really see a difference until she'd been on it for months -- maybe even 6 months. It's been almost a year now and her leg no longer shakes, she can jump on the bed and the stairs no longer pose a challenge for her. Although she weighs about 67lbs, I give her 4 tablets a day -- dosage for an 80lb dog. There is no downside to this medication. Recently, when I told a new vet that she was on Myristol, he said they prescribe/carry something similar, but I'm not interested in switching. Why mess with a good thing?
