Amoxi-Tabs® (amoxicillin) Tablets are a prescription veterinary antibiotic formulated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections in dogs and cats. Containing amoxicillin, a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic, Amoxi-Tabs provide broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria commonly encountered in veterinary medicine.
Amoxi-Tabs are commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, skin infections, and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible organisms. The film-coated tablet formulation is available in multiple strengths, allowing veterinarians to tailor dosing to the individual patient.

How It Works
Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic that works by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis. This action causes susceptible bacteria to lose structural integrity, resulting in bacterial death.

Treatment should be based on culture and susceptibility testing whenever appropriate.
