Description

Trimeprazine with Prednisolone Tablets are a prescription medication for dogs that combine the antipruritic and antitussive properties of trimeprazine with the anti-inflammatory effects of prednisolone. This dual-action formula is commonly prescribed to help manage itching, inflammation, and certain cough conditions in dogs.

The combination may be recommended for dogs experiencing pruritus associated with allergic, parasitic, pustular, or nonspecific dermatitis, as well as selected respiratory conditions where cough suppression and inflammation management are beneficial.

Because underlying causes of itching or coughing may vary, Trimeprazine with Prednisolone should be used under the direction of a licensed veterinarian as part of an individualized treatment plan.

Uses and Benefits

  • Helps relieve itching associated with various skin conditions
  • Supports reduction of inflammation associated with dermatitis and otitis
  • Provides antitussive activity for selected canine cough conditions
  • Combines two active ingredients in one convenient tablet
  • May help manage allergic and inflammatory skin conditions
  • Oral tablet formulation for easy administration
  • Veterinary prescription medication for dogs

How It Works

Trimeprazine acts as an antipruritic and antitussive agent to help relieve itching and suppress coughs. Prednisolone is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation associated with skin and respiratory conditions. Together, these ingredients provide complementary support for managing itching, inflammation, and certain cough conditions.

Indications

Trimeprazine with Prednisolone is indicated for the relief of pruritus (itching) and inflammation associated with allergic dermatitis and certain inflammatory skin conditions in dogs, as directed by a licensed veterinarian.
