Altalube Ophthalmic Ointment

Description

Altalube Lubricant Eye Ointment is a sterile ophthalmic ointment formulated with white petrolatum and mineral oil to provide lasting lubrication and relief from dryness and irritation of the eye. It creates a protective moisture barrier on the ocular surface to help reduce discomfort and shield against further irritation. It is preservative-free and intended for use in the eyes only.

Directions for Use

Apply a small amount of ointment to the affected eye(s) as directed by a veterinarian or healthcare professional. Avoid touching the tip of the tube to the eye, eyelid, or any surface to prevent contamination. Replace cap tightly after each use.

Active Ingredients

Mineral Oil 15% — Eye lubricant

White Petrolatum 85% — Eye lubricant 

 

Storage

Store at controlled room temperature, approximately 15–30°C (59–86°F). Protect from freezing. Keep tube tightly closed when not in use.

 

Precautions

For ophthalmic use only. Do not use if the ointment changes color or consistency. Discontinue use and consult a veterinarian or healthcare provider if eye pain, vision changes, increased redness, or irritation occurs, or if symptoms persist. Keep out of reach of children.
