Rattlesnake Vaccine is a canine vaccine for the prevention of mortality due to intoxication with Crotalus Atrox (western diamondback rattlesnake) Toxoid.
Rattlesnake Vaccine for Dogs is intended for use in healthy dogs as an aid in the reduction of morbidity and mortality due to intoxication with Crotalus atrox toxin. Two doses are recommended, spaced one month apart, with an annual booster given in the spring or approximately one month prior to taking the dog into rattlesnake habitat. Each dose is 1 cc, given subcutaneously. Deposit the vaccine fully below the subcutaneous fat.

It should be under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Occasionally, swelling may occur at the injection site. In some cases, medium to large seromas or sterile abscesses may develop. Rarely, anaphylactic or other adverse systemic reactions may occur. If adverse systemic reactions occur, appropriate therapy with epinephrine or other anti-anaphylactic drugs should be instituted immediately.
