REMOVES ROUNDWORMS, TAPEWORMS AND BOTS WITH A SINGLE DOSE.
FOR ORAL USE IN HORSES ONLY
CONTENTS WILL TREAT UP TO 1250 lb BODY WEIGHT.
Combines ivermectin and praziquantel to offer the most comprehensive equine parasite control ever approved. Ivermectin has been the standard in broad-spectrum equine parasite control for over 20 years. Praziquantel is an anticestodal drug, which inhibits tapeworms ability to remain attached to the intestinal lining, causing them to contract and disintegrate. Treat horses with Zimecterin Gold every two months, or at least quarterly -- especially in spring and fall for the most effective bot and tapeworm control.
DOSAGE -- this syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 1250 lb. horse. Not tested in foals younger than five months of age, in pregnant mares or breeding stallions. Zimecterin Gold when tested at 1, 3 and 5-times the maximum recommended dose every two weeks in 5-month old foals, and at 10-times the maximum recommended dose in a separate study, did not elicit any adverse clinical signs of toxicity. Do not use in other species. May be fatal in dogs.
PARASITE CONTROL PROGRAM: All horses should be included in a regular parasite control program with particular attention being paid to mares, foals and yearlings. Foals should be treated initially at 2 months of age, and routine treatment repeated as appropriate. Consult your veterinarian for a control program to meet your specific needs.
